Gold Numbers are well known for their famous talking fish on their web page. But what is perhaps less well known is that they have a wide range of optional features for their 0800, 0845, 0844 and local numbers.
Telford, Shropshire, UK: “Gold Numbers are well known for their memorable 0800, 0845, 0844 and local numbers” says Richie Williams, Director of Business Development at Gold Numbers, “but what a lot of people don’t realise is that we offer a wide range of optional features which can really enhance your phone number, and make a huge difference to the way your run your business.”
Gold’s range includes a call whisper to let the call recipient know who the caller is intending to call before they speak to them, an IVR system to allow the caller to “press 1 to speak to” whichever department, a call record feature to allow you to easily record inbound or outbound calls to keep accurate records of phone conversations, a stats package to allow you to analyse who called you, for how long and at what cost, and time based routing to allow calls to go through to different numbers at different times of day. A full and comprehensive list of these features can be found on the Gold 0800 numbers website.
You can also get Gold Voicemail for your Gold 0800, 0845, 0844 or local number. Like a voicemail for a normal phone number, it allows callers to leave a message if you can’t get to the phone in time, or are busy taking other calls. It makes sense to have it so that callers don’t just give up after being faced with a continuous ring tone and decide to take business elsewhere. After all, we are still living in a time when the economy is struggling and business can be hard to come by, so every call is important. Also, as with a voicemail for a normal phone number, you can personalise it to say whatever you want it to say so that it represents your company image.
However, unlike a regular voicemail, the message left by the caller will be emailed to you as soon as the caller has finished leaving the message. You will receive this as a wav file in your email inbox, meaning that you don’t have to keep physically checking your voicemail. This then allows you to play it back on your computer as many times as you want and to keep it for your records or to follow up in the future, keep in a clients folder, or forward to someone more relevant or who needs to hear it.
As well as this, if someone calls but doesn’t bother to leave a message then you will be emailed with their phone number so that you can call them back if you choose to, thus ensuring that you don’t miss a single call.
Couple this feature with other initiatives from Gold Numbers such as the Fax to Email service which sends your faxes through to your emails rather than a fax machine, or the call recording service which records your telephone calls, and you have all relevant correspondence from your customers and other people saved on your computer – emails, calls, voice mails and faxes, thus keeping everything together in one place, and helping to create the paperless office, with everything in a computer file rather than a file full of notes and scraps of paper.
